I’d never heard anything. Nobody’s ever spoke to me about a heart transplant until that one doctor in 2017. Like, even me as a congenital patient. I never thought about mortality. But I never thought I could have a transplant. And even when the doctor told me in 2017 in June before I saw the transplant doctor, I started to look up heart transplant stuff online to see what age people were when they got transplants. Because I had no idea the cut off age in most places is 70. I just assumed it was younger.
